Etching is a process done by artists who wish to copy a single piece of art many times so they could sell it to many people. This is done by scratching lines and patterns into a solid material (in this case, plexiglass) and pressing ink into the lines so that when it is put through a rolling press with paper, the picture is copied exactly. This process allows the same image to be reproduced as many times as the artist wants. Personally I enjoyed parts of the project but others not so much. Using water color paints was fun, but the ink was a pain to use.
