Artist Statement
The linocut print is a process of cutting a pattern or art piece into a block of semi-soft material to make a difference in height to form a raised image so that when pressed into a piece of paper, the image can be reproduced multiple times. I enjoyed this project because I found it fun and relaxing to carve into the block, but tracing the image about three times got very tiresome quickly.
